So much time is spent planning such an important day
that then flies by in a flash. Personally, on that Saturday in September
I was overwhelmed by such an endless series of different emotions
that made it difficult for me to grasp the individual, unique and unrepeatable moments.
I remember, in the days that followed, trying in retrospect to recall those moments,
but in vain, because they were surrounded by an aura of happiness so
engrossing and overwhelming that created a continuous stream of images,
impossible to fix or separate.
Emiliano's video captured it all.
There is nothing contrived, no poses, every moment reflects
how we were and what we felt at that moment.
Through his footage Paolo and I were able to relive everything, from beginning to end.
I could be moved again and laugh again, feel the affection
of the people who were present and catch a thousand new details, looks and glances,
that caught up in emotion had escaped me.
